Apostolic Tradition

Throughout my pastoral experience in the parish of Christ the King “developed as a member of the Pastoral Council, and as a lecturer, diversity of topics related to our Catholic Christian doctrine. One of the themes that filled me with enthusiasm to develop was “Learn to defend their faith” and of which I know in this article. I therefore hope to contribute something and to clear some doubts in people who are going through a crisis of faith. Talk: To begin to address this issue, we must take real awareness and discover how deep is our knowledge about our Catholic Christian faith. I do not intend at this time to reach full development, theological doctrine of our faith, but to encourage us to find a way, that in the near future deeper into these issues we already know of one way or another.

If we talk about a defense of necessity would be talking about a possible attack, and for this small reflective work about our faith, Christian Catholic, try to focus on some points or mini themes in which occur more often these attacks by other religions or who have separated. Before starting with these issues, it is important to mention a key issue in our faith. We have three elements, which are, (it could in some way) the solid foundation on which rests our faith: Holy Scripture, the living Tradition of the Church and the Magisterium of the same. The Holy Scripture or Bible, we all know, has the tradition as the basis for the believer’s faith. “Everything we have learned or received or heard from me, all you have seen me do, do” Fil 4.9 “Brethren, stand firm faithfully records the traditions that we teach by word and letter” 2 Thess 2.15 It is clear that the Apostle Paul, to confirm the faith of Christians, not only uses the Word of God written, but also recalls a very special tradition or oral preaching. For the Apostle modes of transmission of the Gospel: Holy Scripture and Tradition, have the same importance.

In fact, once you finished the NT was not considered finished Divine Revelation. Nowhere is it written that Christians should be subject only to the Bible. We have then that the deposit of faith covers the Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture, and this deposit of faith entrusted to him by the Apostles to the whole Church. The task of interpreting the Word of God correctly written and oral, has been entrusted to the living Magisterium of the Church. This teaching according to the Apostolic Tradition, is formed by the bishops in communion with the Successor of Peter, who is the bishop of Rome or the Pope. The Magisterium is not above the Divine Revelation, but to their service. “He who hears you, listen to me” Lk 10:16 I want to share with everyone, in three different deliveries (to not be as large this article) the clear some doubts, that our separated brethren, want to grow in the Catholic liabilities. These doubts were expressed with the following questions: – Is the God of Israel, is the Lord or Hehova? – Does the Bible forbids making images? -
